Our Life's Charge

"You shall love the Lord God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and first commandment. And a second is like it, you shall love your neighbor as yourself"
Matt 22:37-39

Think seriously for just a moment about what is being required of you during this time on earth!

From experience I can say it is really difficult to love God with everything in your being when your body is toxic and tired, your mind is in a fog, your spirit is broken and it takes everything you've got just to get up and function each day.  You have little to no patience or tolerance when it comes to serving those around you, only anger and unforgiveness?  How do you love and serve your neighbor when you don't even love yourself?

After realizing I had been stuck in that place far too long, I turned to God in prayer, desperate for help and to-this-day He continues to answer my prayers!  "Thank you, Lord!!"

"Do You Not Know That Your Bodies Are Temples of the Holy Spirit, Who Is In You, Whom You Have Received From God?  You Are Not Your Own."
1 Cor 6:19

My Journey

As a practical wife and mother of 6 kids, I began improving my overall physical health and happiness, and consequently that of my family, first by eliminating preventable toxins in our household and personal care products after learning the ramifications they presented to our own health and the health of our environment.  I was then led to modify our nutritional habits from the standard American diet of processed foods to whole foods nutrition. Finally, we replaced our dependency on over-the-counter drugs and pharmaceuticals with natural whole plant-based medicines. We did this by implementing new habits into our day to day lives, one ingredient at a time, one medication at a time, one month at a time, one step at a time!

Since eliminating these toxic products from our own home, changing our nutritional habits to a wholefood's diet, and using whole natural plant-based medicines our family has experienced numerous surprising health benefits. Most notably we experienced relief from seasonal and pet allergies, acne and skin rashes, digestive discomforts, nose bleeds, everyday aches and pains, stress, anxiety, and depressive moods. Using God's natural resources has also freed us from being dependent on weight loss support groups, making poor choices when we go out to eat, and costly medical bills!

My Purpose:

At this point in time, I do not have a mile-long list of credentials; there is no Ph.D., MD, RD, or any other “D” after my name. However, what I do have is a brain and the God-given ability to seek out knowledge along with a spirit-filled passion for God and healthy living. This blog is the central place where I share with you our family’s beliefs about living healthy in mind, body, and spirit. Beliefs that are first and foremost based on the truth that the Holy Trinity is the primary physician of our body, mind, and soul, then supported by science and professional experience. It is my heartfelt passion to share this information with others so it hopefully does not take you as long as it took me to make informed decisions for what is most beneficial for yourself and your families based on their individual needs and goals.

My Prayer:

I am so thankful to the Lord for giving me the desire to empower others to take control of their health and to discover what the Lord has given all of us through nature for our own physical, emotional, and spiritual health and wellness.

God is the architect of the human body, as well as of the soul (CCC 362-366). Therefore, He is the sole designer and authority on human form and function. As stewards of these amazing gifts, we must each strive to care for both our body and our soul. “Therefore glorify God in your body.” (1 Cor. 6: 20b)

I pray in Jesus' name that you reach out and receive the fullness of God’s blessings for your abundant health and wellness and make wiser choices for your health today and in the future!

"Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God." 2 Cor. 7:1
